My Beatnik is almost finished! I've reached the seaming phase of the project which is terrifying me. My next sweater will be knit in the round with no seaming, no doubt about it.
My Wholehearted Shawl is coming along beautifully (I love this project!).
Lastly, I've started a new spinning project with fiber from Abstract Fiber (100% Targhee wool). I've never spun Targhee wool before and so far I like it a lot, it has a very similar feel to Merino wool.

ReplyDeleteI was wondering how you find the time for everything, too. I like the colors in the yarn you are spinning. The blue of the Beatnik is gorgeous. I'm knitting a baby bolero in a similar color.

ReplyDeleteSeaming isn't too bad as long as you block first. You can get everything to match up pretty well in the blocking phase. Good luck with the sweater and presentation!

What kind of drop spindle do you use, or at least what is the weight of it? No matter how hard I try I absolutely cannot figure out how to spin anything with mine.
