Hi, my name is Ivy and I am a 20-something obsessed with anything fiber related.

I am a graduate student pursuing a PhD in the biomedical sciences

I'm originally from rural Kansas, but I currently live in my dream state North Carolina.

My mother taught me to knit in January of 2007, although I didn't graduate from misshapen squares until January of 2009 when I discovered Ravelry.

I learned how to spin in January of 2011 from one of Webs' fantastic instructors.  I believe that the only thing better than knitting is knitting with your own handspun yarn.
