Work-in-progress Wednesday - #12

I wanted to deeply thank each of you for your well wishes on my move.  Pretty much everything went absolutely perfectly, even the things that usually go horribly wrong.  I'm moved into my very first apartment (although I don't have furniture yet) and loving it!  Yesterday was my first day of graduate school, and although it was exhausting I am sure that my decision to join the program was an excellent one.

Here is my crafty corner as of now (thankfully I have a table coming in a couple of weeks):

As you may have guessed, I have not really been doing a lot of knitting or spinning through this whole process, but that is not the only reason I'm woefully behind on my Ravellenic Games projects.  The main reason is that the most wonderful guy has come into my life and I've been gladly spending most of my free time with him.

Although I'm embarrassed to show you the slow progress I have made, here goes:

My Ravellenic Games Gemini:

My Ravellenic Games fingerless mitts:

My current spinning:

I hope that you are all having a great Wednesday and I hope that you also join in for WIP Wednesday with Tami's Amis.

  1. hi Pumpkin!

I've spent the last couple of days reading through the archives of your wonderful blog and I'm happy that I've found it! :)
Especially the dying experiments with easter egg-dye was awesome - this is truly something even I feel brave enough to do ... :)

I'm glad to read that your move went well! And also, that you're in love ... Is there something better in life? ;-)

    All the best!

  4. Pumpkin! Great news all around. To reiterate your comments to me I shall quote you, "I think we all want to make sure that The Boy understands and supports your fiber endeavors, because it IS important (hooray!)." So is he treating your crafting well?

  5. I am so excited for you that the move went well and that you enjoyed your first day of graduate school too.

And nevermind on the slow progress of your WIP's, Mr Wonderful is MUCH MUCH more important xxx

  7. Completely understand about what you call a lack of progress (it looks like progress to me!). A move, school and a new guy are a lot in a short time. Make sure he treats you well!

  11. I also met someone recently and it's quite exciting because I have been by myself for quite a while (waiting for someone I really like!) Thankfully (!) he is out of town for a couple of days so I took this opportunity to work intensively on my Ravellenics project! I'm so glad to hear that all is going well with your move and grad school! Go go go!

  13. A table dedicated to crafts is the most wonderful thing to have. I don't know about you, but a desk is never big enough to hold all my craft stuff and be a work space.

Glad to hear the move went well.

  20. You've created a great deal! I'm glad your move went well. If you ever want to visit my high school Fiber Arts Club as a visiting artist, please let me know. I'd love to have a young person talk to the students--and maybe demonstrate some spinning (or some other skill). I know you're about an hour and a half away, but maybe the club could reimburse your travel expenses. I have students in the club until May, so there's plenty of time. Just thought I'd ask you now, so you can think about it . . .
