Also, I have been so surprised and so incredibly humbled by how many people nominated me for a Sunshine Award. Thank you all so, so much, it means a lot to me!
So, here I go trying to get back into the habit of blogging every other day, and what better way to start than to take part in WIP Wednesday. Some of you might notice I'm still working away on the same projects, in my defense, they are huge!
First I have the colorwork sweater back from its time-out. One of the sleeves has been completely reworked and now I'm slaving away on the oh so frustrating collar. See that scarf-like ribbed section? It has to be knitted all the way around the edges of the sweater and then seamed on, what a nightmare!
I hope that you are all having a great Wednesday and I hope that you also join in with WIP Wednesday with Tami's Amis.
Your spinning is such an inspiration! Congrats on 100 posts :)
ReplyDeleteI admire your color work sweater I hope that I can knit and finish one someday but at the moment I would love to simply knit a sweater! I love your spinning so much, where did you purchase the roving and what color way is it? Also I love the second piece you're working on, green is my favorite color. So many awesome projects!
ReplyDeleteYour sweater is amazing I love the colors.. And I've read so many blogs where the knitters spin it makes me want to learn to spin....
ReplyDeleteHAPPY 100TH POST!!!! definitely cause for celebration :D both your knits look really lovely - and the yarn your spinning is beautiful!!!
ReplyDeleteHappy 100th! Hang in there with the colorwork sweater, it's going to be one that will be worth the pain -- I can tell from here. :) The spinning is gorgeous too! I can't wait to see what all that gorgeous yarn grows up to be!
ReplyDeleteIt looks like you have your hands full! Everything is so pretty. I really like the colorwork sweater. Just think how great you'll feel when it's done. I feel your pain on the seeming - it's something I avoid like the plague. Happy 100th and Sunshine! Your blog (and comments) are always a pleasure. Cheers to Pumpkin!
ReplyDeleteSo many beautiful projects! You are one busy knitter/spinner. I guess I can see how the band knit that way kind of carries the bottom band around visually but it sure looks more complicated than button bands I've "installed" Very brave - you are- for taking it on.
ReplyDeleteCongratulations on your 100th post!!! And, on that magnificent spinning! Is it plyed already - will you if not?
ReplyDeleteOOoo, la, la! The colorwork sweater looks absolutely devine! I'm nearly tempted to pull my own out of hibernation. Nearly. :-D
ReplyDeleteBeautiful! I love all your wips and am inspired to get the wheel out for some spinning... I have been very sporadic with my spinning lately and need to get back it more.
ReplyDeleteOh I love your color work! Plus the spinning is so gorgeous! I love those colors.
ReplyDeleteYou always do the most impressive work! When you say that your projects are huge, you are NOT kidding!
ReplyDeleteWow, we both hit 100 around the same time! I LOVE the spinning, where has that been hiding? The color is amazing and it's so thin!
ReplyDeleteI also am so glad your green sweater is working out, I really do think this time is the charm.
The green yarn just didn't like the other projects you working it with :) And that blue sweater sounds like a nightmare. Good luck!
ReplyDeleteThey all look so fun! I can understand about the edging on the colorwork sweater though (LOVE IT btw ;]).
ReplyDeleteI love that colourwork sweater, I'm sure when you are wearing it, it will be worth it. Love the colours you have chosen.
ReplyDeleteOooh! Everything's looking fabulous, as always! (That sweater is seriously beyond awesome!) Glad to see you blogging again. :) And congrats on post #100!!
ReplyDeleteBeautiful work! Slave on with that collar, because the main part of that colorwork project looks fantastic! Can't wait to see that finished, but probably not a tenth as much as you, huh?
ReplyDeleteExcellent projects! I'm glad you dug the colourwork sweater out of hibernation, it is too pretty not to finish! I've just put one item in time out, and took another out, so I can relate :) Your spinning is gorgeous, I love the colours in the yarn.
ReplyDeleteCongratulations on your hundredth post! I always love to see your spinning - you work with such gorgeous colours. Gaia looks fantastic I'm really looking forward to seeing it done. The colour work sweater is stunning but that collar sounds like a nightmare!
ReplyDeleteYay for 100 posts! The colourwork looks gorgeous - too bad about the annoying construction, but I hope it is worth it in the end :)
ReplyDeleteHappy 100th post! So glad to see the return of the gorgeous colourwork sweater.
ReplyDeleteGood luck with the Colorwork Sweater! It is gorgeous! Congratulations for your 100th post!
