Whew, first work-in-progress wednesday in a while! I'm so excited to share some wonderful progress with you this week!
Knitting:
I was able to make a little progress on Winifred during my flight home. I'm at the slow stockinette stage right now, but I'm finding it oh so soothing to knit. I simply cannot wait to wear this sweater!
Crochet:
I've been slowly amassing granny squares made out of scrap yarn. It is so satisfying to watch the bag of leftover yarn dwindle and my pile of colorful squares grow larger!
Spinning:
This fiber I've been spinning has a special story, one that I will share with you sometime in the future. Obviously I've missed spinning because this project is coming together very quickly.
I hope that you are all having a great Wednesday and I hope that you also join in for WIP Wednesday with Tami's Amis.
love the winifred. I'm looking for a pattern to knit as my first sweater, is it easy enough for a beginner?
ReplyDeleteGreat progress on all your projects. The granny squares are perfect for using scraps - can't wait to see how you will use them.
ReplyDeleteI can't wait for you to wear this sweater either! This design and the color are so perfect for you!
ReplyDeleteOooh, look at those colorful granny squares! Also, what a tease, I want to hear your fiber story! :)
ReplyDeleteOk, I am at ease now. My fiber looks very similar to yours. I can't believe I forgot to post about it on my blog today! I'm about half way done, ever since I started the sweater I have kinda forgotten the spindle again...
ReplyDeletewell I just love the granny squares!!!!! There's just something warm and cozy about colorful little granny squares and you have a beautiful sunny mix of colors there. I to will be patiently waiting for that special fiber spinning story. :)
ReplyDeleteEverything looks so pretty! I can't wait to see it all done! Looks like the sweater is coming along really really fast.
ReplyDeleteYou really have cracked the granny square. I have made a few but need to clear the decks of knitting so I can concentrate. Winifred is coming along nicely.
ReplyDeleteAll looks good - isn't it nice to return to something we love after a break? enjoy :)
ReplyDeleteLoving your Winifred, it's going to look beautiful :-) The granny squares are lovely too, such a nice range of colours
ReplyDeleteLooks like you have made some great progress on your Winifred, its such a great colour! and your squares are lovely!
ReplyDeleteYou have been very busy! I really like the color of your sweater.
ReplyDeleteYour sweater is fantastic! You're making great progress.
ReplyDeleteThree Thumbs Up
ReplyDeleteLove the sweater. Am impressed with your lovely increase. May have to use something very similar on my re-do of Gemini
Thanks for sharing
Hugs
love to see that full spindle! do you keep track of how much you load on one cop for plying purposes? I've found myself the possessor of a number of leftover singles due to mis-matched cops, and I'm wondering if it's just me...
ReplyDeleteOh, that sweater is so rich in color, reminding me of pumpkin pie with cinnamon and nutmeg. Very smart to use leftovers for Granny Squares. It's almost like your scrap blanket from last year. I love seeing all those little animal hair fibers in your spinning.
ReplyDeleteYour granny squares are lovely. So colorful! That's what I like about them, but hate weaving in the ends and sewing them into anything.
ReplyDeleteIt's so nice to catch up on your blog. Looks like you had a great holiday with your family and friends, love the matching hat and gloves, hope your friend likes them! Granny squares are so much fun, especially when you can use up a bunch of scrap yarn and watch the squares pile up.
ReplyDeleteThe granny squares are so cheerful!
ReplyDeleteEverything looks incredible! I'm especially looking forward to hearing about what lovely bit of fibery goodness you're spinning up. It's gorgeous!!
